What’s included, how fast we respond and what it costs — before we ever pick up a wrench.
A snapped spring is the most common reason a car is stuck inside. Single spring $280, matched pair $480, with springs carried on the truck.
A door hanging crooked is held up by one cable and can drop. Both cables are replaced and the door levelled on the same visit.
We clamp the door, reset the rollers and realign the track, then fix what knocked it out. Rollers or cables are quoted separately if needed.
Stripped gears, failed logic boards and capacitors are diagnosed on site. Common opener parts are on the truck, so most openers run again that day.
An open door into an attached garage is an open path into your home. We find the fault and get the door closed and secure on the first visit.
After a bumper hits the door, we make it safe and closed, then quote panel or track replacement once we know what can be repaired.

Springs, cables, rollers, hinges, remotes, receivers and common opener parts are on every truck, so you are not waiting days for parts.
There is no call-out fee, and the price comes from our published price list and is agreed before any work starts.

How it works
Diagnosis
Usually a broken spring. We replace the spring the same day; until we arrive, we tell you on the phone whether it is safe to try the manual release.
We diagnose the spring, cable, track or opener fault and get the door closed and secure on the first visit, even if a part has to be ordered.
A cable or spring has let go. We clamp the door, replace the failed parts and rebalance it so it cannot drop again.
We realign the track, reset the rollers and check the bottom section, cables and hinges for hidden damage from the impact.
We free the door without tearing the seal, check the cables did not jump the drums, and replace a damaged bottom seal if needed.
We test the logic board and power supply, repair or replace the failed part, and show you how to use the manual release safely next time.
Buyer’s guide
Any broken garage door is inconvenient. These situations are urgent, and we prioritize them when you call:
Tell us which of these you are dealing with when you call (403) 667-9676. It helps us bring the right parts and decide who to send first.
We are open 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Sunday, including weekends. We are not a 24-hour service and we will not pretend to be. What we do is keep the trucks stocked so that when you call during those hours, a technician can usually be with you the same day, often within 2 hours, and finish the job on that visit.
If you call late in the evening, we will tell you straight away whether we can still reach you that night or first thing the next morning, and what you can do safely in the meantime. Most emergency garage door repairs we do are springs, cables and doors knocked off track, and our trucks carry springs, cables, rollers, hinges, remotes, receivers and common opener parts, so you are not waiting days for a part.
A broken door is dangerous because of the stored energy in the springs and the weight of the door itself. Here is what is safe, and what is not:
Look at the springs above the door. If they are intact (no gap in the coil) and both cables are on, you can pull the red emergency release cord and try lifting the door by hand. If it lifts easily and stays up, you can get the car out. If it is heavy, stop and lower it gently; do not prop it with a stick or ladder.
Leave the door alone. Do not pull the release on a door that is open or partly open with a broken spring: the door may drop. Unplug the opener so no one runs it.
Do not force it down with the opener. Move valuables out of sight, lock the door from the garage into the house, and call us. If the door is off its tracks, keep everyone away from it.
Keep people, pets and vehicles out of the opening. Do not try to lift it back into the tracks.
Not sure which applies? Call us and describe what you see; we will talk you through it. Our post on restoring a jammed overhead door has more background.
These are the most common emergency repairs and their prices from our published price list. The exact price is confirmed before work starts, and there is no call-out fee:
| Problem | Typical repair | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Loud bang, door will not lift | Spring replacement | $280 single / $480 pair |
| Door hanging crooked, cable loose | Cable replacement | $240 |
| Rollers out of the track | Track realignment | $180 |
| Motor runs, door does not move | Opener repair | $180 labour + parts |
Damaged panels from a vehicle impact usually need parts ordered; we will make the door safe and secure on the first visit, then quote panel replacement. Full prices are on our price list.
A minute of detail on the phone means the right technician arrives with the right parts. If you can, tell us:
A photo of the springs and the bottom corners of the door helps too. From that, we can usually tell you on the phone whether it is a spring, a cable or an opener problem, and give you the likely price before we arrive.
Most garage door emergencies give some warning first. Springs lose tension and the door gets heavier for weeks before they snap. Cables rust and fray at the bottom bracket before they break. Rollers click and grind before they jump the track. And an opener that has started reversing or straining is usually telling you the door is out of balance.
A yearly tune-up, ideally in the fall before the first deep cold, catches most of this. If your springs are original builder-grade and seven or more years old, ask about higher-cycle replacements. And if being stuck in or out of the garage during a power outage would be a real problem for your household, a battery backup opener is worth considering. Our post on why garage doors fail unexpectedly lists the warning signs to watch for.
We are based in Bridlewood in the SW and cover all four quadrants, plus Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, Chestermere, Strathmore, High River and other nearby communities with no travel surcharge. Calls from the SW and SE are usually closest to our base, but we dispatch city-wide. Once the emergency is fixed, every repair includes a free tune-up and a written warranty on parts and labour, so the door is not just working, it is checked from top to bottom.

FAQ
No. We are open 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, and we give emergency calls priority during those hours. If you call late, we will tell you honestly when we can arrive and what you can do safely until then.
For most Calgary calls we are on site within 2 hours, and often the same morning or afternoon you call. Times depend on how many urgent calls are ahead of you and where you are; we will give you a realistic arrival window on the phone.
There is no call-out fee, and repairs are quoted from our published price list before any work starts. For example, a single spring is $280 and cable replacement is $240. You approve the price first. See the price list.
If the door is closed and the springs and cables look intact, pull the red release cord and try lifting by hand. If it is heavy or a spring is broken, stop and call us; forcing it can drop the door or injure you.
Only if the springs and cables are intact and the door is in its tracks. If a spring is broken, the door is crooked or rollers are out of the track, do not pull the release or force it. Secure the house door and call us.
Keep everyone clear. A fallen door usually means a broken cable or spring, and it can shift or drop further. Unplug the opener and do not try to lift it. We will secure it and repair it, usually on the same visit.
Yes. We work Saturdays and Sundays with the same 8 am to 8 pm hours, and there is still no call-out fee.
